1. Introduction

These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the rental of vehicles from Miris Rentals. By signing or electronically accepting the rental agreement, the customer ("Renter") acknowledges having read, understood, and fully accepted these terms.

2. Driver Age and License Requirements

The renter and any additional driver must be at least 18 years of age.

The maximum driver age is 79 years.

Young driver surcharge for ages 18-22: 5%. Vehicle category restrictions may apply. Insurance coverage restrictions may apply.

The driver must hold a valid driving license for at least 2 years.

For driving licenses in non-Latin characters, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.

A valid passport or ID is required at the time of pickup.

3. Reservations and Vehicle Categories

Reservations are made by vehicle category. A specific model is not guaranteed.

If the reserved vehicle is unavailable, a similar vehicle of the same category will be provided.

If no vehicle is available in the reserved category, a free upgrade may be offered.

4. Rental Duration, Extensions and Late Return

The minimum rental period is 24 hours.

Rental extension is possible by contacting the company in advance.

A grace period of 1 hour applies after the agreed return time.

In case of late return, a full daily rental rate is charged.

No refund is provided for early return of the vehicle.

5. Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods: Credit card (online), Debit card (online), Cash on arrival, Credit card on arrival, Debit card on arrival.

6. Insurance and Deposit

Excess and deposit amounts vary depending on the vehicle category. The exact amount will be displayed during the booking process in the insurance section.

Basic Insurance is included in the rental price.

Full Insurance is available, with an excess/deductible that varies by vehicle category.

7. Fuel Policy

Same-to-Same: The vehicle is provided with a certain fuel level and must be returned at the same level.

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the missing fuel is charged at the current local retail price on the date of return, plus a refueling service fee of €25.

No refund is provided for extra fuel.

8. Mileage Policy

The rental includes unlimited mileage.

9. Additional Drivers and Extras

Additional drivers are permitted. All additional drivers must meet the same eligibility requirements and be registered in the rental agreement.

Fee for additional driver: €2 per day.

Available car extras:

• Baby Seat: €2/day
• Booster Seat: €2/day

Available motorcycle extras:

• Helmet: €0/day
• Motorcycle Luggage Box: €0/day
• Phone Mount: €0/day

10. Insurance Exclusions

Insurance coverage does NOT apply in the following cases:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Unauthorized driver
• Off-road driving
• Use of wrong fuel
• Loss of keys
• Vehicle lockout (keys locked inside)
• Interior damage
• Roof or underbody damage
• Unreported accident

11. Accidents, Damage and Traffic Fines

In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately notify the company.

A police report is required in every case of accident.

The renter is required to complete and retain the Accident Report Form (Amicable Statement) at the scene of the accident.

Taking photographs at the scene of the accident is recommended and/or required.

The renter is fully responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, and toll charges incurred during the rental period.

12. Vehicle Use Restrictions

The rental vehicle may only be used for lawful purposes on suitable public roads.

Only authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle.

Pets are not allowed inside the vehicle.

13. Delivery, Collection and After-Hours Service

Available delivery and collection points are displayed during the booking process. Additional charges may apply for delivery/collection to locations remote from our base.

14. Ferrying / Travel Restrictions

Transport or use of the vehicle outside the region/island is not permitted.

15. Cancellation, No-Show and Early Return

Free cancellation if made at least 48 hours before pickup.

For cancellations between 48 hours and 24 hours before pickup, 30% of the amount is retained.

Cancellation within 24 hours of pickup is not eligible for a refund.

In case of no-show, the reservation is automatically cancelled after 60 hours.

No refund is provided in case of no-show.

16. Vehicle Return, Cleanliness and Inspection

Vehicle inspection upon return is conducted in the presence of a staff member.

The vehicle must be returned in a reasonably clean condition.

17. Data Protection and Privacy

The company collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679).

Personal data is used exclusively for the purposes of the rental.

Data is shared with third parties only when required by law or by service providers for the operation of the rental.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece.
